Just logged into my SBI account today to find out that they have deducted 50/- for the debit card issued on my account. This is the same card that I have not used once as the account was only mean for an ECS in another city.
Not to mention that I could never transfer funds out of this account as the authorization code they are supposed to send me, for authorizing a new payee, never reached my mobile!
Now I get on researching what all charges they plan to levy. Besides, annual debit card fee of 50/-, they also plan on charging me anywhere between 5/- to 50/- for intebank transfers, that is if it works someday!
Even tranfer within the bank isn't free, the charges, whatsoever, have been "wavied" till March 2009.
And those services that I just took for granted, like stop cheque, is pegged at 50/-
What's funnier, is that they even charge for excess debit entries in your SB account - Rs 5/- per entry.(For entries over 30 per 1/2 year).
While I am aghast at this range of silly charges, I am still looking for a good bank to open my life long SB account.
Does anyone know a good one?

Bad Days Ahead
Oh come Diwali and its again that time of the year when you feel how alone you are. Its pathetic. As if everyday isn't as bad to get me into a festive time where everyone's with loved ones and celebrating...
I hate this...let it be gone.
Can they give me some thing so i can go in a coma and rise when its the right time.
I have really got tired of waiting for this ever elusive right time.
Oh take it away..please....

100 GB Account at Hellacius Riders
Pinch me to let me know if it was true. I can't believe this war was going to be this bad. They are doing all they can to get crowds.
Been there. Done that.
Just registered on Hellacius Riders. It remains to be seen if it really turns out the way they make it seem to be.

Color therapy in cricket
I was thinking about this the other day when we lost to Pakistan in the Asia Cup match, what is it that keeps us from winning? Or to have it the other way, what is it that lets them win most of the time. (I had to refer to them, as its not just Pakistan).
I saw a striking difference in the winning and losing teams... Color. (Those of you, who thought I was a racist, please note that the implied meaning was that of clothes).
Well, to begin with, the most aggressive team, Australia has a yellow dress but they have managed to streak it with green, and you must have seen the after-effects.
Man, they win!!
Have a look at Pakistan for that matter, they have a green dress with streaks of yellow, and they aren’t cold either.
By now you must have noted that the yester years winning formula of South Africa was not hard work, at least not just that, it was the color green with the customary yellow.
Then there was Sri Lanka which came out well, it did started with dark blue but surely it got traces of yellow, and lo, the miracle was there to see.
Of course, West Indies at a time was an exception to the rule, with their Maroon rules, but then the Green-Yellow pair is not the all ruler, but it wins more often than it loses.
So you guys there in blue, now the secret ancient winning formula of cricket is known. Green is the best and if you can't get that, atleast get some yellow lines here and there on the blue.
It works!!!
